Product Overview

Faremate 2000 is a state of the art software program, designed for consolidators to convert their airline contracts into a dynamic database with minimal effort. Due to the complexity of the rules and restrictions in airline consolidator contracts, currently contract rules have to be manually checked before a consolidator fare is quoted. There are over 100 variables that can restrict a fare taking as long as ten minutes to manually quote a fare. Faremate automates the complicated contract administration and fare quote processes for consolidators resulting in significant cost savings / productivity gains.

Faremate 2000 has two main components:

1. Faremate Data Processor allows fares to be loaded with all applicable rules and restrictions such as Min/Max Stay, Validity Dates, Blackout Dates, Weekend Surcharges, Routing Restrictions, and many more making it the most comprehensive database for consolidator airfares in the market. There are two types of airline contracts, both of which can be handled by Faremate:

A. Net Contracts:
Where airlines offer the consolidators specific fares to various destinations. For example, LAX to LON for $350. The consolidators add their markup and sell the fare to their clients. This type of contract can easily be loaded into the Faremate Data Processor by entering the fares along with the applicable rules and restrictions.

B. Commission Contracts:
In contrast to a net contract, instead of a fixed fare, airlines provide the consolidators with a percentage discount off of the published fare. Faremate interfaces with the CRS system and retrieves all published fares to the applicable destinations and reduces them by the discount percentage, hence converting them to net-fares. For example a $900 published fare with a 35% discount will be displayed as a $585 net-fare.

Once these contracts are loaded in the Faremate Data Processor, the database can then be distributed to internal agents through Faremate Query and to clients directly through the Internet.

2. Faremate Query is designed for the consolidator's internal agents who quote fares to clients over the phone. The agent enters a departure city, destination and travel dates, and Faremate Query displays all applicable fares from various airlines after checking all rules and restrictions. The result is clearly formatted, sorted by price, lowest to highest.
   

Additional Components:

• Excel Import Template: All fares and rules can be entered easily into an Excel spreadsheet template which can be imported into the Faremate Data Processor at the click of a button.
• Faremate Query Quote Generator: Generates quote numbers adding accuracy and eliminating client disputes.

• Faremate Query Report Generator: The management can run reports on a daily or weekly basis using criteria such as number of quotes per internal agent, number of quotes per client, most popular airline quoted, and most popular destinations or origins quoted.
• CRS Interface: Allows Commission Contracts to be loaded in the Faremate Data Processor.
  
  
  Faremate is designed in Microsoft Visual Basic and has a Microsoft Access back end. Additionally the software is SQL compatible for larger data processing needs. The superior Architecture of the database produces a high performance product that is capable of handling multiple queries with minimal time delay.
